NPHLA Research
Research from the profession, published openly
Surveys of pharmacy professionals, short Industry Pulse polls and data releases. Every result is an aggregate, published with its method, sample and limitations — and never before enough people have answered.
Published research
No reports published yet
NPHLA Research publishes a report only when a survey reaches its minimum number of responses and the findings have been reviewed. Nothing here is estimated, modelled or borrowed from elsewhere: when there is no data, this page says so.
Datasets
Aggregate data only — downloadable as CSV and JSONNo datasets have been released yet. Each release will list its variables, methodology, licence and coverage.
Research standards
Who is asked
Most surveys invite NPHLA members who have research invitations switched on; some are open to any professional with the link. People choose to take part, so samples are self-selected. Each report says who answered, how they were recruited and whom the sample does not represent — and never calls results representative unless the method supports it.
Anonymity
Anonymous surveys store no name or member record with the answers — only a one-way code that stops the same person answering twice, which the research team does not use to identify anyone. Confidential surveys link answers to the member record for the research team only. Every survey states which applies before you start.
Minimum sample sizes
No result is published until a survey reaches the minimum number of responses set before it opens (usually 30 or more). The minimum is shown on the survey and in the report.
Privacy protection
Breakdowns (for example by discipline or region) report only groups with at least the survey’s minimum group size; smaller groups are combined or suppressed, and further numbers are suppressed so a small group cannot be worked out by subtraction. Written answers are never published.
Funding and conflicts
Every report states who paid for the research and any conflicts of interest before it can be published, and sponsored research names its sponsor.
Corrections
Errors are corrected openly: each report lists its corrections with dates, and data updates carry the date they were made.
Citing NPHLA Research
Cite the report, dataset or chart page by its permanent link and the date you accessed it. Every report, dataset and chart page has ready-made APA, MLA and Chicago citations. Charts carry their own source line — please keep it with the chart. Where a chart shows another organization’s data, cite that source as well.
