Stepping into a leadership role changes what success looks like. The first 90 days are about listening, building trust and choosing a few improvements you can actually deliver.

Days 1–30: Listen and learn

  • Meet one-on-one with every team member. Ask what works, what gets in the way and what they would change.
  • Walk the workflow end to end at different times of day.
  • Learn the numbers your organization uses to measure the pharmacy.

Days 31–60: Choose your priorities

  • Pick two or three improvements with visible benefits for the team.
  • Agree on how you will communicate — huddles, boards, messages — and keep it consistent.
  • Identify who could grow into more responsibility and talk with them about it.

Days 61–90: Deliver and reflect

  • Complete at least one improvement and share what changed.
  • Ask for feedback on your leadership, and act on one thing you hear.
  • Set goals for the next quarter with your team.
